Jiffy Lube® SBL Expansion November 20-2007

South Bay Lube, inc. dba jiffy lube has of November 2007 acquired 3 new locations in South Florida. Naples, Bonita Springs and Ft Myers. This acquisition was a strategic move for SBL to continue it's growth and long term goal in Florida.

We have over the weekend seen the work of Bucified Bert. After a long conversation with Bert and Miss Teen Usa a promise was made. South Bay Lube, inc. will team up with Bucified Bert to help his cause to save children. Bucified stands for [Be Understanding Citizens Identify Friendly Individuals Each Day ]. We will help Bert to do charity events for his scholarship work. Last year 2006 Bert managed to make 1 scholar ship. His goal this year was 5. Jiffy Lube® Acquisition News July 13-2007

Today the 9 month acquisition of Orlando Jiffy Lubes were finalized.

South bay lube, inc. will start Saturday July 14th, 2007 with 23 stores under it's ownership.

Jason C Thomas Vice President of South Bay lube, inc. has completed the full transaction for South Bay Lube, inc. " We have a long road ahead of us, but with good employees and a strong management team I feel that we can only do better for our customers and employee's." - Leif Oskarsson President South Bay Lube, inc.

All Management will stay in place and all employee's will continue on like normal. We think that the people in the business is who makes the business strong and we are confident that the aces are in there places at this point and time.

Jiffy Lube® Sponsor Junior Marshall Day

Junior Marshall day is a fire prevention program that southbay lube, inc. and Walsingham jiffy lube has been the gold sponsor for the past 5 years. Activities.
Putting on a fire mans hat and sitting behind the steering wheel of a 60 foot fire engine with the lights and sirens on.

Our main goal during the barbeque is to teach the children about fire safety and prevention. During the event, tours of the museum are given and the kids have an opportunity to learn about the functions of fire engines used from the 1920's to the 1960s and today's engines. Memorabilia is all around for the kids to enjoy. For toddlers, colorful picture boards and learning tools of choice. There will be food and drinks for all whom attend as well as badges and fire safety movies are shown through out the event so that parents and children can drop in any time to watch.

This is all free thanks to pledges from us and other local businesses.

Sarasota, Florida - The inside of a service station: it's full of grease, dirt, noise. It's the last place you would consider lady-like.

“Even though I have nail polish on I do not mind getting my hands dirty whatsoever." said Assistant Manager Vicki Gore.

For Vicki Gore and Carolyn Taylor: job is a job. And managing this Sarasota Jiffy Lube is a job that they love.

"I do everything that is necessary and called for on a vehicle. Transmission exchanges fuel injection services change out serpentine drive belts." Taylor said.

The women admit, even with a few years experience under their tool belt, they still get double-takes from first time customers.

"They're amazed that women are in this kind of work force but once we do their car one time and they see how professional we are they love it." Gore said.

Female customers like Celia Cooper have a little more confidence in the car care, with the women running the show.

"I didn’t come for that reason but I thought isn’t that cool!" said Cooper.

At this service center on US 41, there are four female employees. And of the nine in the local franchise, three of them are run by women.

"I don’t have any brothers so my dad had to pick one of the girls to help him out, that’s where I began." Taylor said.

But at the end of the day, these jiffy lube ladies don't consider themselves any different than their male counterparts.

"When you're good at something you stick with it." said Taylor.

The women are getting so much attention these days, they were featured on the cover of a trade magazine and they say they even got a call from the Lifetime Network for Women.

Jiffy Lube® Tampa Bay Devil Rays Sponsor 2007

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Jiffy Lube have signed sponsorship deals with the team for 2007. 

Jiffy Lube's Gulf Coast co-op sponsorship includes promotion on Rays' radio broadcasts and unique LED signage inside the stadium that will appear following every stolen base by the Rays next season. Jiffy Lube will also offer special discounts to Rays season ticket holders.
